Below, we have tried to answer the most common questions visitors may have.

What is Hoppers?

Hoppers is part of The Hub Community Project.

Hoppers is for children aged 0 – 4 and their parents, guardians or carers. Whatever your situation there is a chance to meet new friends and encourage little ones to socialise.

Hoppers is run by volunteers who give their time freely.

Hoppers is a non-profit organisation, any charges made are to cover cost of running the group, this includes the hire of premises, toys, drinks and snacks.

All are welcome at Hoppers, regardless of age, religious beliefs, race or disability. Please see the news and calendar pages for details of the events and when Hoppers are meeting.

Is there Parking Available?

There is ample parking at The Hub, at Barnham Broom and Wicklewood.

Can I Safely Bring my Buggy?

At The Hub, follow the signs to Hoppers, there is buggy parking available to the left of the main gate. Buggies are left at your own risk – please do not leave valuables. (Sleeping babies can come inside in the buggy.) Beware of moving cars when approaching the building.

Bring your buggy into the Village Hall at Barnham Broom , and park it in the room opposite the main door.

What Will Happen When I Arrive?

On arrival a team member will sign you in and take subs. Team members are wearing name badges, and turquoise T-shirts.

If you are new you will be given a registration form to fill in, and information about the group. You will be given details of what to expect during the morning and location of toilets, etc.

What Toys Are There?

A variety of toys are available for free play. There are also suitable toys for babies. These are all cleaned regularly.

Are There Things to Make?

Themed crafts and painting are provided each week. Aprons and hand washing are available but this can still be messy. Please do not wear best clothes.

Please come with your child to do crafts as we cannot supervise every child. You may find that you enjoy it too! Remember to take your crafts and paintings home as we cannot keep them.

Do You Do Singing?

A big, YES. We always have a song time, this includes our theme song and any birthdays. Please sit with your child and encourage them to join in.

Are Drinks Available?

There is an opportunity for drinks during each session. Please keep drinks and snacks in the area set aside as it saves a lot of mess. Take care with hot drinks. We encourage healthy snacks for children.

What Happens if my Child has Allergies?

Don’t worry, we can do our best to cater for those children with specific dietary needs.

Are there Baby Changing Facilities?

There is a changing mat in the disabled toilet. please do not leave babies unattended. There is a disposal bin for nappies, but please use bags to contain smells!
